Get ready for a nature experience designed to spark curiosity and inspire young explorers! This one km easy to moderate walk is a great way to engage with nature.

This unique adventure encourages kids to immerse themselves in the local natural world and discover the tiny creatures that live all around us. The children lead their own safari as they search for insects and get up close with the thousands of bugs that call our bushland home. This is an active, exciting outdoor experience that shows children they don’t have to travel far to connect with nature—fascinating wildlife is right on their doorstep. Perfect for curious minds, budding scientists, and kids who love exploring!

Walk grade: 2.5 (easy to moderate). There are many steps along the heritage step trail, this walk is not suitable for prams.
Suitability:Targeted for primary age children 5 – 12 years of age.
Supervision:Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please note:This activity includes applying scientific methods of observation to find insects in nature. Registrations are essential. Please ensure to register a ticket for each child and caregiver.
