When the parkland is complete the landform will be quite different to what you see today. It is planned that the quarry void will be partially filled to approximately half its current depth, while the walls on the northern and southern sides will be cut back and terraced.
Once these works are complete a large lake may be created in the quarry void, flanked by a gently sloping grass amphitheatre that focuses on the geologically interesting diatreme. There will be spaces for passive recreation such as picnicking. Other activities, such as mountain biking and ropes courses, may also be considered.
